Technical features Materials Our creations are made of wood and painted mdf, depending on the color versions considered. Mdf (medium-density fibreboard) is a derivative of wood that lends itself to being shaped and painted. The final aesthetic effect of the material is totally dependent on the painting to which it is subjected. The finishes of the wood essences are open pore in order to emphasize the real characteristics of the grain. Mechanisms Our wall clocks are equipped with German-made mechanisms. Each model is assigned the mechanism based on the characteristics of the dial and the weight of the hands. Operation is powered by an AA battery and is totally silent. All mechanisms are tested in the laboratory during quality control. Hands CalleaDesign does not use plastic hands but only aluminum hands. The hands are printed from particularly light aluminum sheets, to ensure excellent consistency but at the same time a perfect calibration for the functioning of the mechanism. Paints The painting is done by hand using an airbrush. We only use water-based paints through which we are able to obtain a perfect finish, while respecting the environment and improving the healthiness of the workplace. Each creation is painted by hand and undergoes at least 5 treatments before facing quality control. The finish is satin. Accessories The package includes a Varta battery of excellent quality for the operation of the mechanism. Also included are the screw and the plug to perform a safe installation on the wall. The packaging is functional and elegant. It is therefore indicated and suitable if the object is given as a gift. Uniqueness of the product Each CalleaDesign creation is unique, because it is handcrafted by our master craftsmen. Since 1967 we have been designing and creating furnishing accessories, interpreting the objects that contribute to making the house special. Quality Before leaving the CalleaDesign laboratory, all wall clocks undergo strict quality controls inherent to the aesthetic finish but also to mechanical reliability. For this reason, in fact, all the mechanisms are tested in the company before being installed.
