The lamp had no assembly instructions, but it was easy to put together. After reading other reviews, I was careful when screwing the sections together to match the threads and the pole looks seamless. I doubt that the panels in the shade are actually glass as stated in the website description. They feel more like a resin of some sort, but they look stunning and the shade is a much lighter weight than if it were made of glass. I didn't notice any problem areas with the joining work on the shade and felt the quality of the lamp was excellent for the price. I am very pleased with it.
