I took some romaine lettuce and put some in the fridge smart and the rest in a plastic veggie bag with a wet paper towel. The Fridgesmart lettuce was fresher after a week and had NO brown on it at all!ABSOLUTELY LOVE this size. I have the original sizes these came in and so happy i invested in this size as I use this one the most for blackberries and blueberries.Excellent productSuch a great product! Keeps veggies and fruit fresh much longer than just putting in the fridge.I was very disappointed as this product was advertised as new and it was used. The Fridgesmart brochure was missing and the top was scratched and not clean. I wanted this for a gift and I coul dnot use it as the condition of the container was unacceptable as a gift.I read reviews before I bought that said the container will keep produce longer but I'm not seeing much of a difference!
