Ever since the Apple Watch debuted with the unique magnetic charging pod, design ideas have been floating through my mind. Most of what I saw other companies making was complicated and over-engineered. After playing around with some ideas, I decided to keep it simple with nice straight lines to show off the beauty of a single solid piece of wood contrasted against the beautiful high-tech Apple Watch. This original design has become very popular and has been duplicated by many other companies. This docking station is designed to hold your iPhone 5/5S/6/6+/6s/6s+ in landscape position with the Apple Watch running parallel across the front. The magnetic charging pod is held snugly in place by the thicker section of the cord base. Simply squeeze the cord into the slot for a friction fit that can be easily removed when traveling. The phone groove will accommodate an iPhone 5/5S6/6+/6s/6s+ without a case or with most thin cases. The groove is slightly over 3/8" wide or about 1cm. The stands are finished with three coats of a durable oil/varnish blend followed by paste wax—all applied by hand and the same finish I use for high-end furniture.
